Waleed Alqahtani is a Saudi multi-hyphenate filmmaker who writes, directs, edits, and produces, amongst many other skills. His work has screened at festivals including Aspen, Slamdance, Red Sea, Palm Springs, NewFilmmakers LA, Brooklyn, New Orleans, Seattle, and more. Waleed’s most recent short, Two Sisters, world premiered at the 2024 Red Sea International Film Festival and screened internationally. He’s currently developing his upcoming short, All These Days and Nights, scheduled to shoot in late 2026.

Waleed’s features in development have been recognized and supported by the Cine Qua Non Lab, SFFILM, and the Cinephilia Film & TV Development Workroom. His previous experience includes stints at Film at Lincoln Center, Cinetic Media, Image Nation Abu Dhabi, and serving as a research/editing assistant to Oscar-nominated filmmaker Debra Granik (Winter’s Bone, Leave No Trace). He holds an MFA in Filmmaking from Columbia University’s Graduate School of the Arts.
